SPIDER GARAGE IS AN EAST BAY ROCK N ROLL BAND.

Spider Garage’s songs range from lovelorn heartbreak to hydraulic fracking, then back again to heartache. Yet fear not: Every anguish is tackled and mastered with joyful, driving rock ’n’ roll catharsis.

The four-piece-band’s method is carefully crafted songs, a tight and powerful rhythm section, and guitars that alternate big chordy warmth with chiming melodic lines.

Although their name comes from a real-life outbuilding and its resident arachnids, Spider Garage undoubtedly puts classic garage rock and punk at the center of their sound, while also weaving in country, post-punk and, when it’s time to dance, the irresistibly Pavlovian she-bops and chord progressions of ’50s rock.

Spider Garage is its own self-milled alchemy, but you might hear influences of West Coast greats like The Blasters, L7, Dead Moon, Social Distortion and the Flaming Groovies, complemented by bits of intricacy and experimentation that recall post-punk luminaries like the Feelies and REM.

Half of Spider Garage hails from California -- while the other two are escapees of the Western Pennsylvania robber-baron towns. It is worth mentioning that you may have seen or heard members of Spider Garage in their past --or in some cases current musical endeavors. Some of these include October Allied, Cleve-Land, The Rockonigles, The Trenchermen, The Mud City Manglers, The Bad Genes and D'Jelly Brains.
